That’s where I find you.
I want to sit amongst your words,
And hide away from the world,
For a year or two.
The way he spins thoughts into words,
Which he weaves into stories,
That you can wrap yourself in.
Pull them a little closer,
And savour the way they touch you.
Don’t tell me there’s no magic in the world.
Chess game conversations,
Where you can spot their opening gambit;
Its’s always the same,
Regardless of who’s playing.
And it’s unimaginative.
I’m a big fan of people,
Who throw rule books out of windows.
It’s easy to have a playlist called,
“To make me smile”,
(And I have).
Just make sure,
You have friends,
Who do the same.
Write me words,
That will slip under my skin,
And dance with my heartbeat;
I want to feel that touch again.
Otherwise the night is too dark
