A Reason To Pause

Day and night she walked,

Carrying the journey with her,

Until she finally found a reason to pause.

Someone to still her feet.

He looked past the masks,

Looked into her eyes to see her.

The real her.

To kiss her scars.

And so she bound herself to him

Under the stars and mead moon.
